John Mayall’suniqueacoustic quartet release Turning Point was recorded live in 1969 during a show at New York City’s famed Fillmore East institution just after Mick Taylor left to join the Rolling Stones. The album instead features the guitar playing of Jon Mark and John Almond on sax and flute but no drums which created a textured sound that was radically different from their previous releases. Gatefold double 180g vinyl reissue from Vinyl Lovers featuring the three bonus tracks “Sleeping By Her Side,” “Don’t Waste My Time” and “Can’t Sleep This Night.”
