Evergreen‘ssolid Long-Grain Copper conductors allow a smoother and clearer sound than cablesusing regular OFHC (Oxygen-Free High-Conductivity) copper. OFHC is ageneral metal industry specification regarding “loss” without anyconcern for distortion. LGC has fewer oxides within the conductingmaterial, less impurities, less grain boundaries, and definitivelybetter performance.
Any solidmaterial adjacent to a conductor is actually part of an imperfectcircuit. Wire insulation and circuit board materials all absorb energy(loss). Some of this energy is stored and then released as distortion.Evergreen uses air-filled Foamed-Polyethylene Insulation on bothconductors because air absorbs next to no energy and Polyethylene islow-loss and has a benign distortion profile.
